CallTrack

CallTrack

An internal call-tracking app used by Effilearn to measure sales-team activity on company work SIMs.

CallTrack is not a public product. It is installed on the work handsets of Effilearn sales staff, and the only people who can see its data are that team's own managers. There is no sign-up, nothing to buy, and no version available to the general public.

What it does

When a member of the sales team makes or receives a call on their nominated work SIM, CallTrack records the fact of that call — who it was with, when, how long it lasted, and whether it connected — and sends it to a private dashboard their manager uses to review activity. Where the handset's own dialler produces a call recording, CallTrack uploads that audio to a Google Drive folder belonging to Effilearn.

What it does not do

Google Drive access

CallTrack asks one Effilearn administrator — and only that administrator — for permission to place files in their Google Drive. It requests the drive.file scope, which lets an app see and manage only the files it created itself. CallTrack cannot see, open or list anything else in that Drive. Staff never connect a Google account and never see a Google permission prompt.

Staff, and people who are called

Staff are shown a plain-language notice inside the app, before tracking begins, describing exactly what is collected. Anyone whose call is recorded — including customers on the other end — has rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 over the data held about them.

Both are set out in full in the privacy policy, along with how to ask for a copy of your data, ask for it to be corrected or erased, and how to raise a grievance.
